Ebooks Corporation and Schweitzer Fachinformationen Partner to Supply Ebook Library in Germany
Schweitzer to distribute innovative ebook platform to German academic and professional libraries Munich, Germany January 21st, 2009 Ebooks Corporation and Schweitzer Fachinformationen today announced that they have entered into a formal partnership to provide ebooks to the German academic and professional markets. Schweitzer’s extensive offer within the Academic Professional and Library Community will be enhanced by Ebook Library’s (EBL) extensive eBook Collection. Under the new agreement, EBL’s collection of ebook titles will be directly available for purchase within Schweitzers’s acquisition catalogue. EBL hosts over 90,000 titles from more than 300 leading Scientific and Professional Publishers and features flexible access models for patrons including online access and downloading of ebooks to laptops and ebook readers. EBL also offers a sophisticated demand-driven acquisition options that can be customized to a library’s preferences, allowing them to make titles visible to patrons and either purchase or enable a pay-per-use access for titles that patrons select. EBL’s collection is predominantly comprised of English language titles, however the companies plan to expand the selection of German language titles. Partnering with EBL and adding their eBook Collection to our extensive catalogue and our well developed eProcurement and Administrative functionalities brings a much required serviced to our German Customers.
