Ebooks Corporation Limited is an Australian unlisted public company, founded in 1997 by Australian bookseller, Stephen Cole. Ebooks Corporation is a leading global provider of digital books. We have long-standing, close working relationships with Adobe, Microsoft, Palm and other stakeholders in the ebook industry. Ebooks Corporation launched its retail ebook store, www.ebooks.com in September 2000. The development and deployment of eBooks.com, the world’s first comprehensive bookstore, was a landmark achievement.

DEEPSEARCH^TM full-text Search
Ebooks Corporation achieved a first with its DEEPSEARCH™ full –text search. DEEPSEARCH™ is able to search through all ebooks files within the ebooks.com database

Virtual Photocopying
Ebooks Corporation was the first company to develop the technology to break down PDF ebook files (on the fly), enabling the sale of individual chapters (“virtual photocopying”).

eStudySolutions – Academic Solutions
In 2001, Ebooks Corporation developed an innovative distribution application for Addison Wesley Longman (AWL), the world’s largest educational publisher.

Technical Innovation
eBooks Corp was one the first companies to deploy Adobe PDFMerchant and Adobe Content Server. Along with titles in Adobe format, eBooks.com now offers encrypted titles in Palm®, Microsoft Reader® and Mobipocket® formats.
